Give them a gift that makes them think, ‘This one’s a keeper’
By CRACKYL staff
Regifting is more common than we like to admit. But it still stings to think your gift might end up passed along to someone else. Yet, with a little thought and planning, you can pick presents the firefighters in your life will truly appreciate – and will never want to give away. Here are a few ideas:
Practical Presents
With the cost of living on the high side these days, practical gifts are a lifesaver. Instead of guessing, ask your firefighters directly if there’s anything they would like or need. Perhaps it’s a gas card if they do a lot of driving, wool socks for calls on cold nights, or a gift card to their favorite coffee shop if they can’t function without a cup of joe in the morning.
Experiential Gifts
If your firefighter is a minimalist or a thrill-seeker, an experience gift will tick all the right boxes. Think a helicopter tour, a white-water rafting adventure, or indoor skydiving. If you’re on a budget, that’s OK! A movie night with their favorite flicks or a homemade meal with their favorite dishes can be just as special.
Personalized Gifts
A personalized gift shows you really care. Whether it’s a multi-tool engraved with their name, badge number, or a meaningful phrase, a custom sign for the firehouse featuring the station name and logo, or a shadow box that displays their badge, patches, or other memorable items, these gifts are unique and unlikely to be passed on.
Give Back
Donating to a charity that helps kids, an animal rescue, or any other cause your firefighter is passionate about, in their name, is a meaningful gift that keeps on giving. Plus, it’s definitely not something that can be regifted!
A Subscription to CRACKYL Magazine
OK, we may be biased here, but a subscription to CRACKYL magazine is the perfect gift for any firefighter. It’s packed with information and inspiration that supports firefighters’ health and lifestyle – they won’t want to give these issues away!
By following these tips, you can help ensure your firefighter friends and family members receive what they want and/or need this holiday season. Happy gifting!
