Every Oct. 1, International Coffee Day pays tribute to the beloved beverage that has been a staple in cultures worldwide for centuries.
Coffee has become more than just a drink; it’s a social ritual, a cultural symbol, and a daily necessity for many – arguably no one more so than firefighters!
The history of coffee is as rich and diverse as its beans. Believed to have originated in Ethiopia, coffee beans were eventually introduced to the Middle East and then Europe. From there, coffee’s popularity spread across the world, becoming a driving force in trade and commerce.
In honor of International Coffee Day this Tuesday, we have a few recommendations for eclectic blends to try out at your firehouse. And of course, don’t miss our article on where to get free coffee Sept. 29, National Coffee Day.
