Q: Shift work is causing me to have trouble sleeping at home. Would taking melatonin help?
A: Melatonin helps the body regulate the internal circadian rhythm, helping it know when it is day (awake) and night (sleep).
Melatonin has to be taken consistently and at the same time every day to be effective. Usually, no more than 3mg is needed to get results. The key is consistency and taking it at the same time daily.
Q: Can I take CBD to help me unwind and get better sleep?
A: CBD is hit or miss for individuals wanting these effects. Dosing is best accomplished on a trial-and-error basis. Everyone reacts differently so personal dosing and paying attention to your body are key.
In the big picture, CBD does not contain THC, the metabolite that produces a positive drug screen. However, some CBD is not pure and may contain THC. Use with caution and buy from a reputable source.
