New partnership brings together two organizations committed to strengthening the health, wellness and lives of firefighters and their families

CRACKYL Media and The Yard Foundation are proud to announce a new partnership built around something deeply rooted in the fire service: firefighters taking care of firefighters.

Since 2021, The Yard Foundation has turned that belief into action, providing direct financial assistance to firefighters, first responders and their families facing some of life’s hardest moments — including serious illness, injury and loss.

The firefighter-led 501(c)(3) has provided more than $7 million in direct assistance to more than 700 firefighters, creating a verified, fee-free alternative to traditional crowdfunding platforms and ensuring support gets directly to the people who need it.

Now, CRACKYL is joining The Yard in helping that mission reach even further.

The partnership brings together The Yard Foundation’s ability to mobilize the fire service when one of its own needs help with CRACKYL’s mission to improve the health, wellness and lives of firefighters through storytelling, education, resources and connection.

Firefighters Helping Firefighters

The Yard Foundation was born from a simple idea: when someone in the fire service is struggling, their brothers and sisters should have a way to step up.

Through its Mayday Campaigns, The Yard helps verified firefighters and their families raise money during times of crisis without taking traditional fundraising fees from their donations. The organization goes a step further by adding an additional 3.43% to donations made through its campaigns.

For CRACKYL Founder and Publisher Kory Pearn, that commitment to taking care of firefighters makes the partnership a natural fit.

A Shared Commitment to the Fire Service

For CRACKYL Media founder and publisher Kory Pearn, the partnership represents exactly the kind of collaboration needed to create lasting change within the fire service.
